Abstract
In recent years, digital technology innovation has developed very massively and rapidly whichledto various major changes that occurred in various fields, one of whichisthedissemination of information. The presence of digital technologyhasbrought ease and speed in everyday life. Including Jayapura City asthecapital of Papua Province as the information center of Papua. Asaninformation center in Papua, there is also a threat fromseparatist groups, there needs to be preventive measures, namely Digital Literacy toavoidreturning to the confusion in 2019, namely the termination of the internet due to the large amount of misinformation or hoaxes circulating. Purpose: This study aims to find out how diskominfo strategies in improvingDigital Literacy. Method: This study uses qualitative methods with descriptiveapproaches to data collection techniques used are observation, interview, and documentation. And data analysis techniques use SWOT(Strengh, Weakness, Opportunity, Threats). Result: diskominfo jayapuracityinimproving the digital literacy of the poeple of jayapura is very appropriateby involving ICT volunteer groups in educating the community. Conclusion: The results of this study showed that the increase in Digital Literacyinjayapura city due to the support of the region goverment and thecentral government, also through swot analysis can be said that the strategycarried out by the Jayapura Communication and Informatics officeisright in improving the Digital Literacy of jayapura city people.
