Abstract

Problem Statement/Background (GAP): Several factors such as the Covid-19 pandemic, income, expenditure, operating position, debt structure, condition of fixed assets and the environment are considered to have a significant impact on the government's financial condition. Purpose: Therefore, the aim of this research is to determine the financial conditions and factors that influence the financial trends of the Sleman Regency government. Method: This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach, collecting primary data using semi-structured interview techniques, determining informants by means Purpossive Sampling. Meanwhile, secondary data collection takes into account several related documents such as Regional Government Financial Reports. Result: The results of the research show that only five of the seventeen indicators show a bad trend, while the rest show a good trend, so it can be concluded that the finances of the Sleman Regency Government are in quite good condition.. Conclusion: The analysis chosen to determine the financial condition in question is to use the method Fiscal Trend Monitoring System (FTMS) by Ritonga. Consists of six dimensions with seventeen indicators. The factors that hamper the five indicators with unfavorable trends are per capita spending, spending per function, population density, unemployment, poor households
