Abstract
ABSTRACT Problem Statment/Background (GAP): Development planning using a participatory approach is a way to achieve the expected development of the community. In line with this, this study was conducted to find out how "PARTICIPATORY DEVELOPMENT PLANNING TO REALIZE THE COMMUNITY'S ASPIRATIONS IN THE REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT PLANNING AGENCY OF MUSI BANYUASIN REGENCY". Purpose: The purpose of this study is to obtain an overview of the implementation of participatory development planning in Musi Banyuasin Regency, obtain an overview of the supporting factors and constraint factors in participatory development planning and obtain an overview of the efforts made by the Regional Development Planning Agency of Musi Banyuasin Regency in solving obstacles and utilizing supporting factors. Method: This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The data collection technique used is triangulation between interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique uses data reduction using data reduction, data presentation, and data verification to make conclusions. Result: The results showed that in general the participatory development planning at the Regional Development Planning Agency of Musi Banyuasin Regency based on the aspects of actors, knowledge, and spaces was good. However, there are still several factors that hinder the implementation of participatory development planning. Conclusion/sugegestion: There needs to be an effort made by the Regional Development Planning Board of the Musi Banyuasin Regency to realize the aspirations of the community in development planning.
