Abstract
Problem Statement/Background (GAP): Pinrang Regency is a Regency that is rich in natural resources, especially tourist attractions. One of the potentials of Pinrang Regency is the Harapan Beach tourist attraction, but in its development efforts it is still not running optimally. Purpose: The aim is to find out about the development of the Harapan Beach tourist attraction by the Youth and Sports Tourism Office of Pinrang Regency, as well as the inhibiting factors in its development and the efforts made in its development. Method: The research method used is a qualitative research method with an inductive approach. Data collection techniques used by observation, interviews and documentation. The author uses technical data analysis using data reduction techniques, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Result: The results showed that the development of the Harapan Beach tourism object had been carried out by the government through the Youth and Sports Tourism Office of Pinrang Regency but had not run optimally. This can be seen from the unfulfilled dimensions of tourism development caused by several obstacles, namely the limited budget in development, low awareness of tourists, and limited personnel resources. Conclusion: The conclusion of this research is that it has been going well but not optimal due to several obstacles that are inhibiting factors in development activities.
