Abstract
ABSTRACT Problem Statement/Background (GAP): (Contains the background behind the research). At present, good employee performance is the main capital to build a good bureaucracy. To improve employee performance, there needs to be a balance between quality and quantity as well as the competence of existing employees, the workload given to employees must be in accordance with their education, knowledge, abilities and expertise. One way to achieve this is through good job placement. Objective: To find out the performance of employees in developing tourism objects at the Merauke Regency Tourism Office Methode: This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods with an inductive approach, where the authors obtain data by means of interviews, observation and documentation Result: The performance of employees in developing tourism objects at the Merauke Regency Tourism Office has been carried out but has not been in accordance with the Employee Performance indicators. This is because there is still a mismatch between the workload given and the educational qualifications and work experience of the employees as well as the intensity of the turnover of new workers that is uncontrolled and unsuitable in their field, thus affecting the productivity of performance at the Tourism Office in Merauke Regency or even decreasing.Conclusion: The Department of Cooperatives and UMKM as a regional apparatus organization that oversees the nets of micro, small and medium enterprises continues to strive to improve the quality of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises after being affected by the policy. It is hoped that the Cooperatives and MSMEs Office can communicate directly with MSME business actors, so that they can better know the conditions in the field so that there is no mistargeting in providing assistance to MSME actors, and it is also hoped that not only the program implementers are disciplined and consistent but also the program implementers. business actors also so that all programs can run well, and also program implementers can carry out the existing Standard Operating Procedures.Keywords: Employee Performance, Tourism Objects.
