Abstract
Problem Statement/Background (GAP): The author focuses on the problem of optimizing the role of the Civil Service Police Unit in enforcing health protocols in Tulungagung Regency, East Java Province. Purpose: This study aims to describe and analyze the optimization of the role of the Civil Service Police Unit in enforcing health protocols in Tulungagung Regency, East Java Province. Method: This study uses qualitative research methods and descriptive analysis to describe the enforcement of health protocols in Tulungagung Regency and aims to provide an overview and explanation of the observed variables. Data collection techniques were carried out in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Result: The results showed that the optimization of the role of the Civil Service Police Unit in enforcing health protocols in Tulungagung Regency, East Java Province is quite good as for the coordination function and performance effectiveness. Conclution: Optimizing the role of the Civil Service Police Unit in enforcing health protocols in Tulungagung Regency, East Java Province is quite good when viewed from the coordination function and performance effectiveness. Although it still needs to be improved so that it can run more optimally. Obstacles in enforcing health protocols are the minimal number of Satpol PP personnel in Tulungagung Regency, and the lack of public awareness of health protocols. Efforts to optimize the role of the Civil Service Police Unit are to carry out judicial operations and joint patrols with related agencies.
