Abstract
ABSTRACT The problem/background (GAP): of research on the Single Number Emergency Call (NTPD) 112 service system in improving public services is the lack of public awareness in using the NTPD 112 service system. Purpose: of the study is to find out and analyze how the implementation of the Emergency Call Single Number (NTPD) service system is 112 related to improving the quality of public services by the Makassar City Communication and Information Office with the theory of effectiveness according to Champbel J.P. Method: used is qualitative research with descriptive inductive approach. Data collection techniques in the research are interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques in the form of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Results: on the effectiveness of the NTPD 112 service system at the Makassar City Communication and Information Office is that its implementation has not been effective. This is caused by the lack of public awareness in utilizing the service system and the lack of socialization of the city government in introducing the service system. This resulted in a large number of incoming calls with no apparent purpose being connected to the NTPD 112 service system. Conclusion: measures how effective the Emergency Call Single Number (NTPD) 112 service system at the Makassar City Communication and Information Office is, namely it is necessary to block users with non-serious calling numbers and the government can conduct periodic socialization to all levels of society. This is evidenced by data from the Makassar City Communication and Information Office on the number of non-serious calls that have continued to increase in the last 2 years. To overcome these problems, it is necessary to hold socialization of the use of the NTPD 112 service system based on the theory of effectiveness according to Champbel J.P.
