Abstract
Problem Statment/Background (GAP): This research was conducted to analyze how the role of the Tourism Office in Improving the Buying Power of Creative Economy Products in Jayapura City, Papua Province. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to determine the role of the Tourism Office in Improving the IDX Power of Creative Economy Products in Jayapura City, Papua Province, the supporting and inhibiting factors as well as the efforts to be made. Method: This research uses the method qualitative research, data collection techniques with interviews, observation, and documentation study Result: The results of this research are the role of the tourism office in increasing the purchasing power of economic products Creative has been going quite well, this is supported by conditions Jayapura City area which is rich in social potential, good social conditions support, and central government support for development creative economy in Indonesia. Sugegestion: However, there are several obstacles, such as the lack of understanding from each element of the government, the absence of a special room, and the lack of even teamwork. The suggestions proposed in this study are, to disseminate information to the community as well as to promote (offline and online) the results of handicrafts that have been made so as to attract consumer interest, provide facilities such as in parks so that people can introduce themselves to the results of handicrafts that have been made. , and made a proposal to the government to create a special place to sell souvenirs typical of the City of Jayapura.
