Abstract
Problem/Background (GAP): This research was conducted based on transportation problems that occurred in the field regarding motor vehicle testing or better known to the public as the KIR Test. The reality that occurs in the field is that there are still people who have not warned about the importance of roadworthiness for the vehicles they drive. In addition, Madiun Regency itself has roads that are used as the main road that connects between provinces and the increasing number of motorized vehicles every year. The purpose of this study is to find out the evaluation of the motor vehicle testing policy at the Madiun Regency Transportation Office. Methods: The research method used is descriptive qualitative research with an inductive approach. In data collection, the authors used interview, observation and documentation techniques. Data analysis in this study in the form of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Results/Findings: The findings processed by the authors of this study are that motor vehicle testing has a positive influence on both the environment and the community in the transportation sector. Vehicle testing in Madiun Regency already has various innovations used to facilitate the running of testing and also the implementation of new systems, but there are still shortcomings, especially in the resource of its employees.Conclusion: Based on the results of the research and discussion, it can be concluded that the Evaluation of Motor Vehicle Testing in Madiun Regency has gone well when viewed on the dimensions of effectiveness, leveling and responsiveness, where the Madiun Regency Transportation Office is able to meet the testing target, has innovations that can be used to facilitate and speed up the testing process and a new procedure system, namely the drive thru. However, there are still obstacles experienced in the dimensions of efficiency, effectiveness and accuracy. The obstacles experienced in the number of employee human resources are still lacking, the time needed to complete the testing stages, obstacles to the implementation of new systems and applications and the absence of other testing UPTDs in Madiun Regency.
