Abstract
This research is titled "Empowerment of Rattan Craftsmen in Improving Community Economy by the SME and Trade Cooperative Office in Lhoknga District, Aceh Besar Regency, Aceh Province". The purpose of this study is to describe and describe the empowerment of rattan craftsmen and inhibiting factors to the efforts of the service in overcoming obstacles in empowering rattan craftsmen. This research is a type of qualitative research using descriptive methods and inductive approaches. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques are carried out through reduction, data encoding, and inference. The results of the research showed that the empowerment of rattan craftsmen carried out by the SME and Trade Cooperative Office in Lhoknga District has been going well but there are still obstacles. Conclusion : Empowerment has gone wel but However, there are several inhibiting factors, namely, the lack of public understanding of empowerment carried out, lack of preparation of officials and infrastructure, then lack of public understanding of technological developments. In the final part of this thesis, the author wrote some suggestions, namely, the Lhoknga District government can be more swift in responding to empowerment programs, the Lhoknga District government should increase socialization about empowerment strategies, the SME and Trade Cooperative Office provides capital participation, and the role of the SME cooperative office and Trade in empowering rattan craftsmen to promote and utilize promotion through technology. Keywords: Community Empowerment, Rattan Craftsmanship, Economic Improvement, Obstacles, Efforts Penelitian ini berjudul “Pemberdayaan Pengrajin Rotan Dalam Meningkatkan Ekoonomi Masyarakat Oleh Dinas Koperasi UKM dan Perdagangan di Kecamatan Lhoknga Kabupaten Aceh Besar Provinsi Aceh”. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan dan menggambarkan pemberdayaan pengrajin rotan serta faktor penghambat terhadap upaya dinas dalam mengatasi hambatan dalam pemberdayaan pengrajin rotan. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif dan pendekatan induktif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi, penyadian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwasaya pemberdayaan pengrajin rotan yang dilakukan oleh Dinas Koperasi UKM dan Perdagangan di Kecamatan Lhoknga sudah berjalan baik tetapi masih ada hambatan. Kesimpulan :Pemberdayaan sudah berjalan baik namun masih ada beberapa faktor penghambat yaitu, kurangnya pemahaman masyarakat tentang pemberdayaan yang dilakukan, kurangnya persiapan dinas serta sarana prasarana, kemudian kurangnya pemahaman masyarakat tentang perkembangan teknologi. Pada bagian akhir dari skripsi ini penulis menuliskan beberapa saran yaitu, pemerintah Kecamatan Lhoknga bisa lebih sigap dalam menanggapi program pemberdayaan, pemerintah Kecamatan Lhoknga sebaiknya meningkatkan sosialisasi tentang strategi pemberdayaan, Dinas Koperasi UKM dan Perdagangan memberikan penyertaan modal, dan peran Dinas Koperasi UKM dan Perdagangan dalam pemberdayaan pengrajin rotan ikut mempromosikan dan memanfaatkan promosi melalui teknologi.
