Abstract
Population growth is the result of the significant development. The form of welfare can be conducted when there is a balance between population growth and food production. The high rate of population growth can cause social problems such as poverty, crime rates, and densely populated settlements. Demak’s population growth in 2010-2020 period is higher than the Central and National Java Provinces. Purpose: the purpose of this study was to find out how the role of the Dinpermades P2KB in controlling population growth in the district of Demak Methods: used in writing is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques used through interviews, observation and documentation. Results/Findings: study indicate that the Department of Community and Village Empowerment, Population Control and Family Planning has played an optimal role. There are several problems that must be faced, such as limited PLKB field staff, limited funds in socialization and participation in the Family Planning program for women's surgery methods, male surgery methods and implants. Furthermore, to fix the obstacles, the efforts that should be done are optimizing PPKBD and Sub PPKBD, participating in community activities by providing counseling, communication, information and education, providing basic needs for new family planning acceptors. The author provides suggestions for communicating, informing and educating teenagers using information media that are often used by the community. Conclusion: Dinpermades P2KB has played an optimal role in controlling population growth through several roles that are used as analysis in research. Although there are several obstacles, the efforts made by the P2KB Dinpermades are also considered to be able to offset the existing obstacles.
