Abstract
ABSTRACT Problem Statement/Background (GAP): (Contains the background behind the research). One of the development frameworks for North Minahasa to be more advanced is that the government continues to improve and improve programs on stunting prevention in North Minahasa Regency, because in the last 5 years the stunting prevalence rate in North Minahasa is quite high, even in 2018 North Minahasa Regency became a district. with the highest stunting rate in North Sulawesi reaching 35.44%. The aim is to find out how or what efforts have been made by the North Minahasa Regency Government specifically at the Health Office regarding the stunting prevention and prevention process in order to realize stunting-free North Minahasa 2022, as well as what factors are the obstacles in this stunting prevention process.Objective: to find out how or what efforts have been made by the North Minahasa Regency Government specifically at the Health Service regarding the stunting prevention and prevention process in order to realize stunting-free North Minahasa 2022, as well as what factors are the obstacles in this stunting prevention process.Methode: This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods with an inductive approach, result : The performance of the North Minahasa District Health Office apparatus so far has been going well in terms of productivity, service quality and responsibility, while in terms of responsiveness and accountability it has been quite good but needs to be improved. In terms of productivity, according to the programs made by the district government and have produced results where the stunting prevalence rate in North Minahasa Regency has decreased, in 2018 the stunting prevalence rate in North Minahasa Regency reached 35.44% until 2021 the prevalence rate There are only 2.9% of stunting in North Minahasa Regency, this is a good achievement for the North Minahasa government, especially the Health Office, which is able to carry out stunting reduction programs properly so that it gets good results too..Conclusion: the stunting management process in North Minahasa Regency so far has been going well. All of this cannot be separated from the important role of the Regent of North Minahasa, Mr. Joune J.E Ganda, who always supports and provides input as well as programs in the handling of stunting in North Minahasa in order to realize a stunting-free North Minahasa in 2022.
