Abstract
ABSTRACT Problem Statement/Background (GAP): (Contains the background behind the research Murung Raya Regency is one of the regencies in Central Kalimantan that has great potential and tourist attraction if it is developed and managed properly. Human Resources in the form of civil servants who have tourism skills and backgrounds are very important to improve tourism governance. Objective: to identify and determine the performance of the apparatus in the Youth, Sports and Tourism Office, the obstacle factors and the efforts made in the tourism development process in Murung Raya Regency, Central Kalimantan Province.Methode: This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods with an inductive approach, where the authors obtain data by means of interviews, observation and documentation Result: The apparatus of the Youth, Sports and Tourism Office of Murung Raya Regency has not performed well in tourism development in accordance with the analysis that the author did on the performance indicators, namely: Productivity, in accordance with the analysis that the author did, productivity has not been carried out properly. Quality of service, in accordance with the analysis that the author did, the quality of service has not been able to satisfy tourists. Responsiveness, responsiveness indicators have not been implemented properly. Responsibility, Responsibilities carried out by the Youth, Sports and Tourism Office of Murung Raya Regency are still less than optimal.Conclusion: innovation of tourist attraction development, quality of tourist services, responsiveness and responsibility by the apparatus is still not good, but the accountability of the apparatus is good. Efforts that can be made to overcome obstacles to tourism development include adding working facilities for the apparatus, inviting the public to contribute, and providing training and education to state civil servants.
