Abstract
ABSTRACT Problem Statement/Background (GAP) : The author focuses on the problem of the low level of labor productivity, the high unemployment rate and the anticipation of the demographic bonus in Palembang City. Purpose : The purpose of this study was to determine how the level of labor productivity towards the 2030 demographic bonus in Palembang City. Method : This study uses a qualitative descriptive with an inductive approach based on Sutrisno's theory with the techniques of collecting work environment observation data, in-depth interviews (7 informants) and documentation covering data on labor productivity at the Manpower Office of Palembang City. Result : The results of this research concluded that Labor productivity toward the demographic devidend 2030 in Palembang City in terms of education has been optimized with educational facilities coupled with the BPJS Employment participation program for workers who provide social security. However, it is still felt that the efforts of the Palembang City Government in providing training programs are still very minimal and the limited training programs available and do not reach the target both from participation to the programs held are still very minimal. Then in Palembang City, there were as many as 20 percent of women who were absorbed in the workforce, this was still minimal in women's participation in employment compared to men. There are several inhibiting factors such as lack of budget training program of labor productivity, incomplete training facilities and then lack of innovation trraining programs. Conclusion : The preparation of the city of Palembang in increasing labor productivity from the education sector has been maximized, but in terms of the training program, the budget is still minimal and the participants involved in the training program. And the Palembang City has not taken full advantage of the demographic bonus, seen from the low number of women who are absorbed in the labor market, only as much as 20 percent.
