Abstract

is the highest regional regulation violation committed by the people of Tanjungpinang City for the last 4 years, namely a violation of Regional Regulation Number 7 of 2018 concerning Public Order. This is the task of the Civil Service Police Unit in maintaining public order and enforcing regional laws and regulations. The case of decency violations that occurred in Tanjungpinang City has attracted the attention of the local government, especially the Civil Service Police Unit as law enforcement officers. The lack of supervision from related parties has led to an increase in cases of decency violations The purpose of this study is to find out how the efforts of the Tanjungpinang City Satpol PP in curbing decency violations in Tanjungpinang City and what are the supporting and inhibiting factors of Tanjungpinang City Satpol PP in curbing decency violations in Tanjungpinang City. Method:The researcher uses the Controlling theory from Kusumaatmadja which consists of two dimensions, namely direct control and indirect control. This research was conducted using a descriptive qualitative method with an inductive approach and the data collection techniques used were observation, documentation and interviews. While the data validity technique that the researcher uses is source and technique triangulation. Result :of the study that efforts to control decency violations in Tanjungpinang City, Riau Islands Province have been running effectively and efficiently, this is indicated by the enforcement that can reduce the number of violations in 2021 and get a positive response from people who violate them because they do their job without violence. both verbal and deed. Conclusion there are still shortcomings in terms of public awareness of the applicable local regulations, the community is not yet optimal in transportation, the availability of facilities and infrastructure, lack of coordination with stakeholders, and the large number of public requests regarding services for violations of decency. This matter needs to be considered by members of the Tanjungpinang City Civil Service Police Unit in order to maximize their duties and functions in enforcing local regulations, especially in controlling decency violations in Tanjungpinang City.
