Abstract
ABSTRACT Problem Statement/Background (GAP): State Civil Apparatus (ASN) has a strategic role in carrying out public service functions to ensure public welfare. One important indicator in supporting ASN performance is work discipline. However, various government agencies still face challenges in ensuring employee discipline, such as high rates of absenteeism, lateness, and practices of manipulating attendance data. Along with technological developments, application-based attendance systems such as the Employee Attendance Information System (SIAP) have begun to be implemented to overcome these problems. Although the implementation of SIAP has been running in various regions, there have not been many empirical studies that specifically measure its effect on work discipline, especially in the BKPSDM environment of Karawang Regency. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the significant effect of the implementation of the SIAP application-based online attendance system on employee work discipline at BKPSDM Karawang Regency. Method: This study uses a quantitative method with a population study approach to all civil servants at BKPSDM totaling 68 people. The data analysis technique uses the t-test, determination coefficient test, and Pearson product moment correlation test. Result: The results of the study indicate a very strong positive relationship between the use of the SIAP application and work discipline, with a correlation coefficient value of 0.959** and a contribution of 92%. Conclusion: It can be concluded that the implementation of the SIAP online attendance system has a significant effect on improving employee work discipline at the BKPSDM of Karawang Regency. This study recommends increasing integrity and supervision in the implementation of digital attendance, as well as strengthening the sense of responsibility through system transparency. Keywords: online attendance, work discipline ABSTRAK Permasalahan/Latar Belakang (GAP): Aparatur Sipil Negara (ASN) memiliki peran strategis dalam menjalankan fungsi pelayanan publik untuk menjamin kesejahteraan masyarakat. Salah satu indikator penting dalam mendukung kinerja ASN adalah disiplin kerja. Namun, berbagai instansi pemerintah masih menghadapi tantangan dalam memastikan kedisiplinan pegawai, seperti tingginya angka ketidakhadiran, keterlambatan, serta praktik manipulasi data absensi. Seiring perkembangan teknologi, sistem absensi berbasis aplikasi seperti Sistem Informasi Absensi Pegawai (SIAP) mulai diterapkan untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Meski implementasi SIAP telah berjalan di berbagai daerah, belum banyak kajian empiris yang secara spesifik mengukur pengaruhnya terhadap disiplin kerja, khususnya di lingkungan BKPSDM Kabupaten Karawang. Tujuan: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh signifikan penerapan sistem absensi online berbasis aplikasi SIAP terhadap disiplin kerja pegawai di BKPSDM Kabupaten Karawang. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan studi populasi terhadap seluruh PNS di BKPSDM yang berjumlah 68 orang. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji t- test, uji koefisien determinasi, dan uji korelasi product moment Pearson. Hasil/Temuan: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif yang sangat kuat antara penggunaan aplikasi SIAP dengan disiplin kerja, dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,959** dan kontribusi pengaruh sebesar 92%. Kesimpulan: Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan sistem absensi online SIAP berpengaruh signifikan dalam meningkatkan disiplin kerja pegawai di BKPSDM Kabupaten Karawang. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan peningkatan integritas dan pengawasan dalam penerapan absensi digital, serta penguatan rasa tanggung jawab melalui transparansi sistem.
