Abstract
Abstract Problem/Background: The Internet technology has been developing rapidly in accordance with the ever-advancing times. The government has also implemented the use of technology in public services, one of which is through websites. The rapid development of the internet has brought about a significant change in human life. In Indonesia, internet services have penetrated into the remote villages, as evidenced by the emergence of internet cafes (warnet) in every city across the country. Objective: To assess the quality of service on the website portal.merauke.go.id in facilitating public services in Merauke Regency. This research employs a qualitative, descriptive method. Data collection is carried out through interviews and observations. Method: The collected data is analyzed using Alvaro Rocha's (2012) theory, which encompasses the dimensions of Content Quality, Service Quality, and Technical Quality. The analysis also incorporates information obtained from the interviews and observations conducted at the Communication and Informatics Office of Merauke Regency. Results/Findings: The research findings indicate that the Merauke Regency Government's website has room for improvement in terms of data updates. The population data available on the regional government's website is still from 2017. Additionally, the accessibility of the website portal.merauke.go.id, as tested by the researchers using the PageSpeed Insight tool, reveals that the website is still slow in terms of access speed. However, overall, the website is considered to be satisfactory by the public, with the information available on the Merauke regional government's website being deemed adequate. The community generally perceives the website positively, despite the identified areas for improvement in data updates and website performance.. Conclusion: The findings suggest that the local government should prioritize regularly updating the website's data, particularly the population information, to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the content. Additionally, steps should be taken to improve the website's accessibility, such as optimizing its performance and addressing any technical factors that may be contributing to the slow access speed reported by the researchers. Keywords: local government website, public information services, Merauke Regency, Alvaro Rocha's theory, descriptive qualitative research method ABSTRAK Permasalahan/Latar Belakang: Teknologi internet saat ini sangat berkembang pesat sesuai dengan perkembangan zaman yang terus bergerak maju. Pemerintah saat ini juga sudah menerapkan penggunaan teknologi dalam pelayanan publik, salah satunya website. Pesatnya perkembangan internet membawa perubahan besar terhadap kehidupan manusia. Di Indonesia layanan internet telah merambak kepelosok desa, contoh sekarang warnet (warung internet) sudah bermunculan di setiap kota di Indonesia. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui kualitas pelayanan di website portal.merauke.go.id dalam mempermudah pelayanan publik di Kabupaten Merauke. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara dan observasi. Metode: Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan teori Alvaro Rocha (2012) dengan dimensi Kualitas isi, Kualitas Pelayanan dan Kualitas Teknis serta informasi dari hasil wawancara dan melakukan observasi di Kantor Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika kabupaten Merauke. Hasil/Temuan: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Website Pemerintah Daerah Kabupaten Merauke pada pembaharuan adanya data yang belum di perbaharui yaitu data kependudukan yang ada pada website pemerintah daerah data tahun 2017. Pada aksesibilitas website portal.merauke.go.id yang telah diuji oleh peneliti pada website pagespeed insight untuk mengetahui kinerja kecepatan akses website ternyata masih lambat dalam mengakses pada website pemda merauke tersebut. Namun secara keseluruhan sudah baik dan menurut masyarakat mengenai website pemda merauke sudah baik dengan segala informasi yang tersedia. Kesimpulan: Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah perlunya pembaharuan data secara optimal, lalu meningkatkan daya akses pada website portal.merauke.go.id agar dapat meningkatkan kualitas Website pemerintah daerah Merauke.
