Abstract
ABSTRACT Problem Statement/Background (GAP): The author sees that in the implementation of elections in Palangka Raya City in the previous year it could be said that the level of community participation was still less than optimal or unstable. Therefore, the Palangka Raya City KPU has the authority to disseminate information to the public. With the increasingly modern era of society, it has become easier and more of a challenge for the General Election Commission of Palangka Raya City to increase the political participation of the community so that they can be involved in political activities based on the implementation of election activities in the previous year and then adjusted to the conditions that exist in society today. Purpose: This research aims to find out what factors influence the process of increasing the political participation of the people of Palangka Raya City by the General Election Commission of Palangka Raya City. Method: The research design is qualitative research with descriptive methods. The data collection technique in this research is by conducting interviews and documentation. Results: The results of this research show that increasing community political participation in the City of Palangka Raya has been carried out with good efforts, starting from related parties as well as the local community and organizations which synergize well with the General Election Commission of the City of Palangka Raya with the latest innovations and adequate facilities. Conclusion: So that the improvement process carried out by the Palangka Raya City General Election Commission has been carried out with good planning and implementation. ABSTRAK Permasalahan (GAP): Penulis melihat bahwa dalam pelaksanaan pemilu di Kota Palangka Raya tahun sebelumnya dapat dikatakan tingkat partisipasi masyarakat masih kurang optimal atau belum stabil. Oleh karena itu, KPU Kota Palangka Raya mempunyai kewenangan untuk melakukan sosialisasi kepada masyarakat. Dengan semakin modernnya era masyarakat, semakin mudah dan menjadi tantangan bagi KPU Kota Palangka Raya untuk meningkatkan partisipasi politik masyarakat agar dapat terlibat dalam kegiatan politik berdasarkan penyelenggaraan kegiatan pemilu. pada tahun sebelumnya kemudian disesuaikan dengan kondisi yang ada di masyarakat saat ini. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi proses peningkatan partisipasi politik masyarakat Kota Palangka Raya oleh KPU Kota Palangka Raya. Metode: Desain penelitian adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan melakukan wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil/Temuan: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan partisipasi politik masyarakat di Kota Palangka Raya telah dilakukan dengan upaya yang baik, dimulai dari pihak terkait serta masyarakat setempat dan organisasi yang bersinergi baik dengan KPU Kota. Palangka Raya dengan inovasi terkini dan fasilitas yang memadai. Kesimpulan: Agar proses perbaikan yang dilakukan KPU Kota Palangka Raya telah terlaksana dengan perencanaan dan pelaksanaan yang baik.
