Abstract
Problem Statement/Background (GAP Kesbangpol is a government agency formed to manage national unity and political affairs in the country. In Badung Regency, Kesbangpol has the responsibility to handle issues of national unity and politics in the region. Kesbangpol Badung Regency is committed to making Badung Regency a region that has a high spirit of nationalism, democracy, security and upholds morality. Purpose: This study seeks to examine the Role of the National Unity and Political Agency in community political education towards the 2024 gubernatorial election in Badung Regency, Bali Province. Method: The research approach used by the author is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data presentation, data analysis, data triangulation, and conclusion drawn. To examine the role of the National Unity and Political Agency in political education, this study uses the Role Theory proposed by Biddle and Thomas in Sarwono (2013) which includes Expectations, Norms, Performance, Evaluation and Sanctions. Result: The results of the study show that the Badung Regency National Unity and Political Agency through political socialization has run well according to the applicable rules, but there are still many people, especially the youth, who admit that they have not received these educational activities.Conclusion: more innovating in providing political education, optimizing social media by creating Kesbangpol accounts, and the implementation of political education that is not only focused on the millennial generation and generation Z but also targets housewives.
