Abstract
ABSTRACT Problem Statement/Background (GAP): The author focuses on developing civil servant competencies in the use of information technology at BKPSDM Mojokerto City. Purpose: This research aims to determine the competency of Civil Servants in the use of information technology at the Mojokerto City Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency. And to find out whether there are obstacles or efforts made in its implementation. Method: This research uses a qualitative research design with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques were carried out using interviews (7 informants), observation and documentation. Result: The implementation of increasing civil servant competency in the use of information technology is going well with a performance indicator value of 80.7. is based on a program that has been created but in its implementation there are still obstacles, namely budget problems, employee motivation and infrastructure. Conclusion: Increasing the competency of civil servants in the use of information technology at the Mojokerto City Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency must be improved. One of the steps taken to increase the competency of civil servants in the use of information technology is by increasing education and training programs in the field of information technology for civil servants. Keywords: Improvement, Competency, Civil Servants ABSTRAK Permasalahan/Latar Belakang (GAP): Penulis berfokus pada pengembangan kompetensi PNS dalam pemanfaatan teknologi informasi di BKPSDM Kota Mojokerto. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan guna mengetahui kompetensi Pegawai Negeri Sipil dalam pemanfaatan teknologi informasi di Badan Kepegawaian dan Pengembangan Sumber Daya Manusia Kota Mojokerto. Serta guna mengetahui adanya hambatan maupun upaya yang dilakukan dalam pelaksanaannya . Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara (7 informan), observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil/Temuan: Pelaksanaan peningkatan kompetensi PNS dalam pemanfaatan teknologi informasi berjalan dengan baik dengan nilai indikator kinerja 80,7. didasarkan pada program yang telah dibuat namun pada pelaksanaannya masih terdapat hambatan yakni permasalahan anggaran, motivasi pegawai dan sarana prasarana. Kesimpulan: Peningkatan kompetensi PNS dalam pemanfaatan teknologi informasi di Badan Kepegawaian dan Pengembangan Sumber Daya Manusia Kota Mojokerto harus ditingkatkan. Langkah yang dilakukan guna peningkatan kompetensi PNS dalam pemanfaatan teknologi informasi salah satunya melalui peningkatan program pendidikan dan pelatihan dalam bidang teknologi informasi bagi PNS.
