Abstract

Background/(GAP): This study is motivated by several problems related to developing civil servant competencies through education and training. purpose: to develop civil servant competency through education and training at the East OKU Regency Social Service, South Sumatra Province. Background This study is motivated by several problems related to developing civil servant competency through education and training. Training means improving civil servant skills, the program implemented in education and training programs, use of infrastructure, performance of civil servants after carrying out education and training.Method: This research uses descriptive research methods with a qualitative approach. Research results: This shows that the implementation of education and training at the East OKU Province Social Service, South Sumatra Province has not been optimal. Conclusion: The research suggestion is that the East OKU Social Service is expected to continue to develop competence in order to improve the quality and motivation of work within the agency. The East OKU Social Service is expected to provide more innovation in dealing with obstacles that arise in the implementation of education and training and the lack of attention from staff, infrastructure and budget. towards the implementation of education and training. Efforts to overcome these obstacles include providing motivation to civil servants, providing and facilitating infrastructure, and optimizing allocated resources.
