Abstract
ABSTRACT Problem Statement/Background (GAP): The author focuses on the roles and efforts made by the five pentahelix dimensions in developing rattan handicraft MSMEs in Lhoknga District, Aceh Besar Regency. Purpose: of this study was to find out how the pentahelix model is analyzed in marketing and developing rattan handicraft SMEs in Lhoknga District, Aceh Besar Regency. Method: This research is a type of qualitative research with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques are carried out through reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Result: of the study show that the roles and efforts made by the government, academia, community, business or the private sector and the media related to the marketing and development of rattan craft MSMEs have gone well. However, there are several factors that cause these rattan handicraft SMEs to be less developed, namely the lack of enthusiasm and focus of rattan handicraft business actors to start their businesses so that they develop, lack of capital provided by the government, lack of government partners to help implement programs from the government, then lack of awareness rattan handicraft business actors to join in one forum, namely BUMG so that their businesses can develop more and at the same time raise the name of the village. Conclusion: the government provides business capital, the government increases partnership activities, business actors must have an entrepreneurial spirit assisted by the government, the government helps the village to create BUMG, and stakeholders can be participatory in this matter. Keywords: Pentahelix Model, Marketing, Development, Rattan Handicraft MSMEs, Roles, Efforts ABSTRAK Permasalahan/Latar Belakang (GAP): Penulis berfokus pada peran dan upaya yang dilakukan oleh kelima dimensi pentahelix dalam mengembangkan UMKM kerajinan rotan di Kecamatan Lhoknga Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Tujuan: Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana analisis model pentahelix dalam memasarkan dan mengembangkan UMKM kerajinan rotan di Kecamatan Lhoknga Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian: Peran dan upaya yang dilakukan oleh pihak pemerintah, akademisi, komunitas, bisnis atau swasta dan media terkait pemasaran dan pengembangan UMKM kerajinan rotan ini sudah berjalan dengan baik. Tetapi, ada beberapa faktor yang menyebabkan UMKM kerajinan rotan ini kurang berkembang yaitu kurangnya semangat serta kefokusan dari pelaku usaha kerajinan rotan untuk merintis usahanya agar berkembang, kurangnya modal yang diberikan oleh pemerintah, kurangnya mitra kerja pemerintah untuk membantu melaksanakan program dari pemerintah, kemudian kurangnya kesadaran pelaku usaha kerajinan rotan untuk bergabung ke dalam satu wadah yaitu BUMG agar usahanya lebih berkembang sekaligus mengangkat nama gampong. Kesimpulan: Pemerintah memberikan modal usaha, pemerintah meningkatkan kegiatan kemitraan, pelaku usaha harus mempunyai jiwa kewirausahaan yang dibantu oleh pemerintah, pemerintah membantu gampong untuk membuat BUMG, dan stakeholder bisa ikut partisipatif perihal ini.
