Abstract

ABSTRACT Problem Statement/Background(GAP): The author focuses on the problem of the responsiveness of the Regional Disaster Management Agency in tackling and dealing with strong wind disasters in Sidoarjo. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to find out and analyze the responsiveness, obstacles, and efforts made by BPBD Sidoarjo to the Strong Wind disaster. Method: This study uses a qualitative method with an inductive approach. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. Result: The findings obtained by the authors in this study are that the importance of speed, accuracy, politeness in responding to society reports which are also supported by the distance between the disaster preparedness post to the occurrence of wind disasters. Conclusion: The response from the Sidoarjo Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency has been good in responding even though there are obstacles, but Sidoarjo’s society still evaluates them as satisfied with the performance of the officer's response. Keyword: response, countermeasures, the strong wind disaster, disasters ABSTRAK Permasalahan/Latar Belakang(GAP): Penulis berfokus pada permasalahan responsivitas Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah dalam menanggulangi dan menangani kejadian bencana angin kencang di Kabupaten Sidoarjo. Tujuan: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah yaitu untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis responsivitas, hambatan, dan upaya yang dilakukan BPBD Kabupaten Sidoarjo terhadap bencana Angin Kencang. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan induktif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil/Temuan: Temuan yang diperoleh penulis dalam penelitian ini yaitu pentingnya kecepatan, ketepatan, kecermatan, kesopanan dalam melaksanakan respon kepada laporan masyarakat yang didukung juga oleh jarak tempuh posko siaga bencana menuju kejadian bencana angin kencang. Kesimpulan: Sudah baiknya respon Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah Kabupaten Sidoarjo dalam merespon walaupun terdapat hambatan, namun masyarakat tetap menilai puas terhadap kinerja respon petugas.
