Abstract
ABSTRACT Background : This study aims to describe and analyze the supporting and inhibiting factors and then efforts to improve the implementation of Covid-19 handling policies in Maritengngae District, Sidenreng Rappang Regency, South Sulawesi Province. Purpose: The problem that is the focus of this research is the increasing number of positive cases of Covid-19 after the stipulation of Sidenreng Rappang Regent Regulation Number 32 of 2020 concerning the Implementation of Discipline and Law Enforcement of Health Protocols as an Effort for Prevention and Control of Corona Virus Disease 2019 in Sidenreng Rappang Regency. Methods: The method used in this research is qualitative-descriptive by using interview, observation, and documentation collection techniques. The analysis used is data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Result: The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the Covid-19 handling policy in Maritengngae District is still not running as expected or not optimal due to obstacles and obstacles found in implementing the policy, namely inadequate transportation used to mobilize personnel to the location of policy implementation. Then in the implementation of this policy there are also supporting factors, namely a sufficient and complete number of personnel, clarity of duties and functions, good working relations with the TNI/POLRI, consistent and scheduled implementation of activities, quality of personnel that is in accordance with competence, the existence of adequate budget. Efforts have been made to overcome the obstacles in implementing this policy by using four-wheeled official official vehicles within the Civil Service Police Unit, Sidenreng Rappang Regency. Conclusion: Based on the data and facts found in the field that this policy is still not running according to what is expected, it is proven by the discovery of Maritengngae sub-district people who are still infected with the Covid-19 virus.
