Abstract
ABSTRACT Problem Statement/Background (GAP): The construction of the General Besar Sudirman Airport, which is located in Bukateja District, Purbalingga Regency, raises various pros and cons. One of them is the impact of this airport construction on the welfare of the surrounding community. The Purbalingga Regency Government, in this case, as one of the stakeholders in this project, is of course very responsible for future impacts that will arise, especially the impact on the people who live in the area around Jenderal Besar Soedirman Airport. Changes that will occur in the community must have been anticipated and projected beforehand so that the Purbalingga Regency Government as a policy maker can determine and plan preventive measures to avoid and minimize negative impacts. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the social impacts that occurred in the area around the construction of the General Besar Sudirman Airport, especially the Bukateja District area. And identify solutions and steps from relevant agencies and the government in empowering the surrounding community after the airport construction. Method: The research design used in this study is a qualitative research using descriptive methods and inductive approaches. Data collection techniques using 4 ways, namely, interviews, observation, documentation and triangulation. Then the data - the data collected were analyzed by data reduction techniques, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Result: The results of this study indicate that the policies and solutions provided by the government for the Bukateja community, especially Wirasaba Village, based on the data and information obtained by the authors in the field are correct. Counseling, mentoring, and protection in the community carried out by the Purbalingga Regency Government through the DINSOSDALDUKKBP3A and Bukateja District were well received in the community. Conclusion: Changes that occurred in Bukateja District, especially in Wirasaba Village, in this case the impact of the construction of the airport which was originally not too crowded, became slowly crowded due to the start of airport operations and the emergence of new jobs. The involvement of the Purbalingga Regency Government since the beginning of the project has also resulted in minimal negative impacts on the community. Since the beginning of the airport construction itself until the inauguration and normal operation, the residents of Wirasaba Village have felt the positive impact. Becoming a worker at the airport to slowly change the livelihood pattern of the residents, which was originally dominated by field workers, is now slowly turning to the entrepreneurial sector.
