Abstract
Problem/Background (GAP): The author focuses on Pararapak Village, which is a village that has abundant natural resources. In addition, there is also a resource that has the potential to be developed and utilized in the agricultural sector, namely "Pineapple Parigi". But what happens even though it has been empowered is still not optimal. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the empowerment of pineapple farmer groups, the inhibiting and supporting factors in empowerment and the efforts made to overcome the inhibiting factors. Methods: This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with an inductive approach and analysis of the empowerment theory by Mardikanto and Soebiato. Data collection techniques using in-depth interviews (16 informants), documentation and observation. Results/Findings: Farmers' knowledge is still not maximized, roads leading to agricultural land, marketing that is still not maximally facilitated and water channels are not good.Conclusion: shows that the empowerment of pineapple farmer groups has been implemented quite well, which is supported by a large area of land, regulations on farmer group empowerment, peat soil suitable for pineapple, good social aspects and potential that can still be developed further. Although some obstacles were found, the government has made various efforts to overcome them.Keywords: Pineapple Farmer Group, Welfare, Empowerment
