Abstract
Problem: Technology present in human life aims to facilitate all forms of activities that can be carried out by humans so that technology is considered to have a fairly high efficiency value, and as the development of the technological era is growing, this at this time has been successfully utilized by the government in carrying out public service activities that have a clear legal basis in its implementation, however, it turns out that in its development there are still several regions in Indonesia that still have not realized this, this is usually based on the constraints of different problems in each region. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to find out whether the Jayapura Regency Local Government Website has been running optimally, as well as to find out what obstacles are encountered and suggestions that can be given to these obstacles. Method: this study uses a qualitative descriptive research method on the website of the local government of Jayapura Regency using the theory of Alvaro Roscha (2014), as for data collection techniques with interviews, documentation, and observations. Result: The website of the local government of Jayapura Regency is considered to be running well even though there are still obstacles to the complaint system that have not been able to provide a good response to the community. Conclusion: The Communication and Informatics Office of Jayapura Regency has succeeded in managing the Jayapura Regency local government website well, although it has problems, namely that there are still pages that cannot be accessed, there is no response to complaints, and the appearance of the website is still simple, in order to improve the quality of the Jayapura Regency local government website, it is recommended that Diskominfo's human resources can provide provisions on website technology.
