Abstract
Problem Statement/Background (GAP): The title of this research is "Optimization Of Community Empowerment In The Framework Of Protection Of Women And Children In Purbalingga Regency, Central Java Province". The author's background in taking the title is the increasing number of violence against women and children in Purbalingga Regency, Central Java Province. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explain the components of optimizing community empowerment carried out by the Civil Service Police Unit with the Social Service in community empowerment in Purbalingga Regency, Central Java Province. Method: This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection techniques in this study were observation, interviews and documentation. Results/Findings: The results of the study (1) The research shows that the optimization components include: leadership, work procedures, service standards, management of public complaints, control and evaluation, facilities and infrastructure, use of information technology, management of human resources. (2) The supporting factors for the optimization component are the fulfillment of facilities in the context of optimizing community empowerment, and the addition of human resources to maximize the performance results obtained. Conclusion: The results of the study can be concluded that the optimization of community empowerment in the context of protecting women and children in Purbalingga Regency, Central Java Province has been going well, this is evidenced by the ease of complaints for the community. However, it has not run optimally because there are still numbers of violence against women and children in Purbalingga Regency. It is hoped that the government will evaluate and monitor regularly in order to optimize community empowerment in the context of protecting women and children in Purbalingga Regency, Central Java Province.
