Abstract
Collection development is an important part of all types of libraries, including the NTB Campus. IPDN library. However, the pattern of implementation of collection development in each library varies according to the policy of the parent institution of the library. For example, the implementation of collection development at the IPDN official university library on the NTB campus, which has a number of procedures, elements and collection selection tools that are different from other libraries in the process of developing its library collection. Analyzing the implementation of collection development in the library can be a means of reference and providing solutions to all implementations of this collection development for the survival of the library. The purpose of writing this article is to find out the implementation pattern of library collection development in the IPDN Library Unit of the NTB Campus. The method used is descriptive qualitative with interview data sources and relevant articles for comparison. The pattern of implementation of library collection development at IPDN NTB Campus through user analysis, guided by Activity Operational Guidelines (POK), application of tools (manual and electronic) catalogs of publishers/online bookstores, desiderata from praja, academic community, and input from local and central government officials relevant to improving teaching qualifications at IPDN. The implementation of library collection development at the NTB Campus IPDN has implemented some of the concepts of collection development, namely using user analysis through surveys, applying user analysis elements, having relevant selection tools, and oriented towards the needs of users.
