Abstract
Problem Statement / Background (GAP): The author focuses on the problem of controlling street children in the Bondowoso district carried out by the Civil Service Police Unit. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the role of the Civil Service Police Unit in controlling street children in Bondowoso district. Method: The research used is a descriptive qualitative research method with an inductive approach using Soerjono Soekanto's role theory and data collection techniques in this study were carried out by observation, interviews/interviews and documentation. Result: This study shows that the control of street children carried out by the Civil Service Police Unit has been going well but there are still obstacles in the control process carried out. Conclusion: The role of the Civil Service Police Unit in controlling street children in Bondowoso district can be seen from two indicators, namely rights and obligations. In controlling street children in Bondowoso district, there are still obstacles, namely the quantity of personnel, the availability of facilities and infrastructure, the availability of the budget, and the lack of public understanding.
