Abstract
Problem/Background (GAP): To find out the role of the Regional Disaster Management Agency in handling the post-disaster in Deli Serdang Regency, Identifying the inhibiting factors and efforts to carry out the role in accordance with the expected tupoksi In this case, the role of BPBD in post-disaster management.The purpose of the study: what was carried out was to determine the empowerment of street vendors to achieve public order, the inhibiting factors and the efforts made by the government in overcoming the existing obstacles. Method : The method used is a qualitative research design with descriptive and inductive approaches. Interviews, observation, and documentation are used as data collection techniques. Technical data analysis starts with data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Researchers used Role Theory by Arimbi, Horoepoetri, and Santosa. Result/findings: The results or findings show that the role of the Regional Disaster Management Agency in post-disaster management in Deli Serdang Regency is assessed by role theory in accordance with the main functions of its role. However, there are still other factors that become obstacles in the implementation of supporting BPBD's Tupoksi, namely the wide coverage area of Deli Serdang Regency, which causes delays in disaster handling, budget realization that is not in accordance with policy, and inadequate infrastructure Conclusion: From some of these things, it is hoped that more attention will be paid to the regional government of Deli Serdang Regency for BPBDs in carrying out their duties so that they can optimize the implementation of their roles.
