Abstract
ABSTRACT Problem Statement/Background (GAP): From the recapitulation data on the vote count for the 2020 Padang Pariaman Regent election, it shows that the level of women's political participation in the post-conflict local election of Padang Pariaman Regency is only 61.45%, as many as 38.55% or 59,520 voters out of 154,381 female voters who do not exercise their voting rights. One of the factors causing the lack of political participation is the level of education. A person's level of education can affect many things in life, one of which is political participation. Apart from education, age also affects women's political participation. Indirectly , age affects the level of knowledge of voters about legislative candidates. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between formal education level and age with women's political participation in the 2020 Padang Pariaman Regent election. Method: The research method used in this study was a quantitative research method with correlational analysis techniques. The data collection technique used is a questionnaire (questionnaire) and documentation. Result: The results obtained by the authors that the level of women's political participation in the 2020 Padang Pariaman regent election is at a moderate level, this is based on the hypothetical categorization standard according to Azwar (1993), the relationship between the level of formal education and women's political participation in the regent election is positively correlated. significant with the low category level, for the relationship between age and the level of women's political participation in the election of regents is significantly negatively correlated with the level of correlation with the moderate category, while the relationship between the level of formal education and age with women's political participation in the election of regents is not significantly correlated. Conclusion: It can be concluded that women's political participation in the 2020 Padang Pariaman Regent election is at the moderate level, there is a significant relationship between the level of formal education and women's political participation in the regent election, there is a significant relationship between age and female political participation in the regent election, and there is no relationship There is a significant relationship between the level of formal education and age with the level of women's political participation in the 2020 regent election. ABSTRAK Permasalahan/Latar Belakang (GAP): Dari data rekapitulasi penghitungan suara pemilihan Bupati Padang Pariaman tahun 2020 menunjukkan bahwa tingkat partisipasi politik perempuan dalam pemilukada Kabupaten Padang Pariaman hanya 61,45%, sebanyak 38,55% atau 59.520 pemilih dari 154.381 pemilih kaum perempuan tidak menggunakan hak pilihnya. Pada penelitian ini penulis berfokus pada pengaruh aspek pendidikan dan usia terhadap tingkat partisipasi perempuan. Tujuan: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan tingkat pendidikan formal dan umur dengan partisispasi politik perempuan pada pemilihan Bupati Padang Pariaman 2020. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis korelasional. Metode: Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu angket (kusioner) dan dokumentasi. Hasil/Temuan: Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan oleh penulis bahwa tingkat partisipasi politik perempuan pada pemilihan bupati Padang Pariaman tahun 2020 berada di tingkat sedang, hal ini didasarkan oleh standar kategorisasi hipotetik menurut Azwar (1993), hubungan tingkat pendidikan formal dan partisipasi politik perempuan pada pemilihan bupati berkorelasi positif secara signifikan dengan tingkat kategori rendah, untuk hubungan antara umur dengan tingkat partisipasi politik perempuan pada pemilihan bupati berkorelasi negatif secara signifikan dengan tingkat korelasi dengan kategori sedang, sedangkan hubungan antara tingkat pendidikan formal dan usia dengan partisipasi politik perempuan pada pemilihan bupati tidak berkorelasi secara signifikan. Kesimpulan: Dapat disimpulkan partispasi politik perempuan pada pemilihan Bupati Padang Pariaman Tahun 2020 berada pada tingkat kategori sedang, terdapat hubungan signifikan antara tingkat pendidikan formal dan partisipasi politik perempuan pada pemilihan bupati, terdapat hubungan signifikan antara umur dengan partisispasi poltitik perempuan pada pemilihan bupati, dan tidak terdapat hubungan siggnifikan antara tingkat pendidikan formal dan umur dengan tingkat partisipasi politik perempuan pada pemilihan bupati 2020.
