Abstract

ABSTRACT Problem Statement/Background (GAP): (Contains the background behind the research) Professionalism is an employee's capability that becomes an influence in carrying out tasks according to their fields and is oriented to public services. The state apparatus is also required to quickly adapt to the challenges of the new era, of course, in solving problems and being responsible for every mandate carried out and prioritizing the interests of the state and society.Objective: to find out the professionalism of employees, the inhibiting factors and what efforts were made by the Pangkalpinang City BKPSDMD Methode: This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods with an inductive approach, where the authors obtain data by means of interviews, observation and documentation Result: The professionalism of employees in managing the E-SMILE application at the BKPSDMD Pangkalpinang City is quite good in their field of work, seen from all related indicators that have been good except for the dimensions of effectiveness of the sub-indicators of work quantity, work quality, time and efficiency dimensions of cost sub-indicators. Conclusion: professionalism in the form of employee professionalism has been quite good except for the dimensions of effectiveness of the sub-indicators of work quantity, work quality, time and efficiency dimensions of cost sub-indicators. The minimum number of employees is the cause so that employees do not focus on managing and developing the E-SMILE application and carrying out other tasks. Efforts made by the Pangkalpinang City BKPSDMD in overcoming these obstacles have already begun. Suggestions from this research are to re-detail what are the main tasks of the application manager and space for vacant workers to immediately look for these vacancies by increasing the number of employees who are experts in their fields.
