Abstract
ABSTRACT Problem Statement/Background : The author focuses on the effect of the performance of employees at the Regional Personnel Board of Jambi Province during the implementation of work from home (WFH) so that the work that has been given is hampered and does not match the specified time. Purpose : The purpose of this study was to find out how the performance of employees through work from home (WFH) in the Regional Personnel Agency of Jambi Province and to find out the basic problems in implementing work from home (WFH) and analyze the steps taken by the leadership of the Regional Personnel Agency of Jambi Province. in regulating the work system to improve employee performance through the implementation of work from home (WFH) during the COVID - 19 pandemic. Method : This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method with an inductive approach. Data collection techniques were carried out by interview, observation and documentation. To test the validity and credibility of the data that has been obtained, the author uses a data triangulation technique that compares the results of observations or interviews with the object of research. Result : The findings obtained by the authors in this study are that the performance of employees through work from home (WFH) at the Regional Personnel Agency of Jambi Province has not gone well due to inadequate facilities and infrastructure, the mindset of employees who consider work from home (WFH) as a work holiday. and employees who have not mastered the field of Information Technology. Conclusion : The conclusions in this study are the steps taken by the leadership of the Jambi Provincial Personnel Agency to overcome employee performance problems through work from home (WFH) during the COVID - 19 pandemic, namely the division of working hours crosswise and alternately so that employees do not travel out of town when carry out work from home (WFH), optimal supervision of employees so that employees continue to carry out the work that has been given well as well as socialization and training on the use of information technology when implementing work from home (WFH) and meeting the needs of adequate facilities and infrastructure to support implementation work from home (WFH). The author provides suggestions that it is necessary to increase the knowledge and ability of every employee in the Regional Personnel Agency by participating in socialization or training on the use of information technology, supervision from the leadership of the Jambi Province Regional Personnel Agency which is routine and optimal and the fulfillment of work equipment assistance for employees so that they can overcome problems related to implementation. work from home (WFH) at the Regional Personnel Agency of Jambi Province during the COVID - 19 pandemic. Keywords: Employee, Performance, Work From Home (WFH) ABSTRAK Permasalahan/Latar Belakang (GAP) : Penulis berfokus pada berpengaruhnya kinerja pegawai di Badan Kepegawaian Daerah Provinsi Jambi pada saat pelaksanaan work from home (WFH) sehingga pekerjaan yang telah diberikan menjadi terhambat dan tidak sesuai dengan waktu yang telah ditentukan. Tujuan : Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana kinerja pegawai melalui work from home (WFH) di Badan Kepegawaian Daerah Provinsi Jambi serta untuk mengetahui permasalahan mendasar dalam pelaksanaan work from home (WFH) dan menganalisis langkah – langkah yang ditempuh oleh pimpinan Badan Kepegawaian Daerah Provinsi Jambi dalam mengatur sistem kerja guna meningkatkan kinerja pegawai melalui pelaksanaan work from home (WFH) pada masa pandemi COVID – 19. Metode : Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan induktif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Untuk menguji keabsahan dan kredibilitas data yang telah didapat penulis menggunakan teknik triangulasi data yang membandingkan hasil observasi atau hasil wawancara dengan objek penelitian. Hasil/Temuan : Temuan yang diperoleh penulis dalam penelitian ini yaitu kinerja pegawai melalui work from home (WFH) di Badan Kepegawaian Daerah Provinsi Jambi belum berjalan dengan baik dikarenakan sarana dan prasarana yang belum memadai, pola pikir pegawai yang menganggap work from home (WFH) seperti hari libur kerja dan pegawai yang belum menguasai bidang Teknologi Informasi. Kesimpulan : Adapun kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah langkah – langkah yang ditempuh oleh pimpinan Badan Kepegawaian Provinsi Jambi untuk mengatasi permasalahan kinerja pegawai melalui work from home (WFH) pada masa pandemi COVID - 19 yaitu pembagian jam kerja secara silang dan bergantian agar pegawai tidak berpergian keluar kota saat melaksanakan work from home (WFH), pengawasan yang optimal kepada pegawai agar pegawai tetap melaksanakan pekerjaan yang telah diberikan dengan baik serta sosialisasi maupun pelatihan tentang pemanfaatan teknologi informasi saat pelaksanaan work from home (WFH) dan pemenuhan kebutuhan sarana dan prasarana yang memadai untuk menunjang pelaksanaan work from home (WFH). Penulis memberikan saran yaitu perlu adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan kemampuan setiap pegawai di Badan Kepegawaian Daerah dengan mengikuti sosialisasi atau pelatihan pemanfaatan teknologi informasi, pengawasan dari pimpinan Badan Kepegawaian Daerah Provinsi Jambi yang rutin dan optimal serta pemenuhan bantuan perangkat kerja bagi pegawai sehingga dapat mengatasi permasalahan terkait pelaksanaan work from home (WFH) di Badan Kepegawaian Daerah Provinsi Jambi pada masa pandemi COVID – 19.
