Abstract
ABSTRACT Problem Statment/Background (GAP): This research was conducted at the Office of Population Control and Family Planning in Palembang City. As for the formulation of the problem in this study, namely how is the role of the Population Control and Family Planning Service in implementing the Kampung KB program in Palembang City, what are the factors that influence the implementation of the village family planning program in the city of Palembang, and how are the efforts of the Population Control and Family Planning Service to optimizing the Kampung KB program in Palembang City. Purpose: The target of the Population Control and Family Planning Agency is the realization of stable population growth and the creation of quality families in the city of Palembang in order to avoid overcrowding with limited number of jobs and pay attention to the health of fertile age couples (PUS) and the growth and development of children born. Method: In this study, the researcher will use a qualitative descriptive research method with an inductive approach. This method was chosen aiming to describe the conditions that actually occur in the field or the research environment that will be the object of research. Result: The results of the study indicate that the Office of Population Control, Family Planning, Women's Empowerment and Child Protection has played an optimal role. However, there are several obstacles that must be overcome, such as a shortage of personnel, facilities to support service mobilization and a cut program budget for handling COVID-19. In connection with this, the efforts made to overcome obstacles include the implementation of family planning development on a priority scale, Refreshing Family Planning Cadre Activities with health protocol guidelines and coordinating synergistically regarding the need for operational infrastructure for family planning services. Conclusion/sugegestion: The role of the Population Control and Family Planning Service in implementing the KB Village Program is still running effectively where it is noted that active family planning participants with a population of childbearing age reached an active percentage of 29.4% and also development in KB Villages continues to develop such as the existence of independent SMEs from KB Villages. itself to support the improvement of the regional econom Keywords: Role, Family Planning Village, Family Welfare
