Abstract
The Makassar City Civil Service Police Unit plays a role in enforcing health protocols in Makassar City. However, in its implementation, there are still violators of health protocols in the community. Purpose: This study aims to determine the role of the Civil Service Police Unit in enforcing Health Protocols during the Covid-19 Pandemic in Makassar City. Method: This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive method with role theory according to Soekanto. Data collection techniques using documentation and interviews conducted with research subjects, in this case the Civil Service Police Unit. Result: The findings obtained by the authors in this study are that the role of Satpol PP has not been carried out optimally, due to inadequate facilities and infrastructure, limited available budget, lack of quality from personnel, lack of appreciation from the public for Satpol PP members and lack of public awareness of Covid-19. Conclusion: The role of Satpol PP in enforcing Health Protocols during the Covid-19 pandemic in Makassar City has not been carried out optimally.
