Abstract

ABSTRACT Problems/Background (GAP): The application of e-offices in the Department of Communication and Information Statistics and West Papua Encoding is still not optimal due to several things that are the problems including the limitations of infrastructure and interest in the apparatus in using e-office. Objective: The purpose of this study is to determine the interest of employees in using e-office and increasing the attractiveness of e-office applications through improving the visual user interface display within the Department of Communication of Statistics and Encoding of West Papua Province. Method: The research method used is a qualitative descriptive analysis to explain employee interest in applying e-office and SWOT analysis to find out the strategy in implementing e-office. Data collection techniques used in this study are observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. Results/Findings: The results of this study indicate that in accordance with the TAM theory used it is known that the interest of West Papua Province Diskominfo in the use of e-office is constrained on the ease of e-office ease indicators because not all employees have the ability to operate e-office devices due to age constrained by age And the skills that are owned then the readiness of the application of e-office in e-mail management has been going well, but there are still obstacles in its application. Conclusion: The conclusion in this study is the interest of West Papua Province Diskominfo in the use of e-office constraints on the ease of e-office ease indicators so that it needs some efforts such as training and increasing internet speed.
