Methode: This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods with an inductive approach, where the authors obtain data by means of interviews, observation and documentation Resultthe level of political participation of the people of Muara Kelingi District in the election of the Regent and Deputy Regent of Musi Rawas Regency, namely by using the Ramlan Surbakti theory in the form of factors that influence community political participation, namely social status, economic status, political awareness and trust in the government. Community participation in the implementation of the 2020 Musi Rawas Regency General Election of course has its own reasons, starting from the political awareness of the people who think that the post-conflict local election has no effect on their lives and the public's sense of distrust of election candidates or the government..Conclusion: The efforts of the Musi Rawas Regency KPUD in increasing the political participation of the people of Muara Kelingi District in the 2020 simultaneous regional elections during the Covid-19 pandemic. The efforts made by the Musi Rawas Regency KPUD have been good, starting from implementing the Covid-19 health protocol, completeness of infrastructure and socialization. Although socialization has been carried out, public political participation is still lacking due to the apathy of the people who prefer to work and worry during the Covid-19 pandemic. Suggestions for the future in increasing community political participation are by providing political education and motivating the community about the importance of participating in the implementation of the post-conflict local election Keywords: Political Participation, KPUD, Community, Regional Head Election, Covid-19
