Abstract
ABSTRACT Problem Statement/Background (GAP): The Covid-19 pandemic that occurred in Indonesia had a significant impact on the Indonesian economy. In dealing with these problems, the Merauke Regency Government has refocused its operational expenditure budget to restore the economy. The problem that occurred in this study was the lack of budget used in handling the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic in Merauke Regency. This can be seen through data on regional expenditure allocations intended for handling Covid-19. Purpose: So the author raised the title "Implementation of Operational Expenditure Refocusing in Handling the Covid-19 Pandemic at the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency in Merauke Regency, Papua Province. Method: The method used is Qualitative Descript. The theory used is management theory with analysis of planning, implementation, administration, reporting, accountability, and supervision. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. Result: The lack of budget used in handling the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic in Merauke Regency. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, the management process for refocusing the operational expenditure budget in handling the Covid-19 pandemic at the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency of Merauke Regency which consists of planning, implementation, administration, reporting, accountability, and supervision where the results of this management are running quite well even though there are obstacles that must be overcome, as for the efforts that have been made by the local government. Suggestions from researchers after conducting research are: improve employee performance, leaders must monitor the work of responsible OPD, BPKAD must continue to coordinate with four OPD.
