Abstract
Problem statement/Background (GAP): This article examines innovations presented by Library and Archives Services in Serang city amid Covid-19 outbreaks. Library must occupy the demand of the society in pedagogy purposes either entertainment purposes despite the outbreaks. With the innovation that Library and Archives Services design, it is expected to be able increase the number of visitor and encourage society to cultivate reading. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to know the innovation invent and find out the factor affect the library services. Method: This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach and the data needed obtained through observation, interviews (using purposive sampling) and documentation. Result: The findings are innovation in library services such as ePusda, Cator, Pojok Baca, Revitalization of old building, dan PINTAR BUKU has been running optimally but still needs an improvement. Factors that influence the innovation are divided into two, supporting factors (work culture, government and the third party) and obstacle factors (Human resources, facilities, budget and community). Conclusion: Through this research, suggestions that can be given by researcher include: to make standard operating procedures regarding library services, optimal service five out of seven working days, to socialize or promote the existence of library service innovations, and to cooperate with both foreign and domestic parties. Government regarding improving library services so that the innovation is appropriate in improving library services at the Serang City Library and Archives Service.
