Abstract

ABSTRACT Problem Statement/Background (GAP): The effectiveness of green open space is an effort to see green open space in carrying out its functions according to the predetermined objectives so that it can be said to be effective in the use of its functions. Purpose: To find out and analyze the effectiveness of green open spaces in flood disaster management in Tangerang City, Banten Province by looking at the supporting and inhibiting factors and providing efforts to overcome the problems that occur in the effectiveness of green open spaces. Method: The research approach used is a descriptive qualitative approach, using primary and secondary data obtained from interviews, observations, and documentation. to triangulate the data. The data analysis technique adopted an interactive analysis technique with the methods of data analysis, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions or verification. Result: This study uses the theory of effectiveness of Gibson, Ivanovich, and Donelly in Organizations: Behavioral Process Structure (2006), which explains that there are 5 factors that influence an effectiveness. These 4 factors include productivity, efficiency, satisfaction, flexibility, and quality. Conclusion: Based on the research conducted, it can be concluded that the effectiveness of green open spaces in flood disaster management in Tangerang City, Banten Province has been carried out well, but there are still some additions so that the effectiveness of green open spaces can be carried out effectively by adding green open spaces in the city. so that it can overcome the flood disaster in Tangerang City. And there are inconsistencies in coordination, there is no disciplinary action against officers who do not work according to their duties so that it needs to be addressed in terms of employee performance, as well as changes to the green open space system by making drainage channels in green open spaces so that water flow is maintained and there is no puddle of water.
