Abstract

ABSTRACT Problem Statement/Background: MSME in Lebak Regency, especially in Kanekes Village, are one of the sources of community income which is also supported by the existence of Baduy traditional tourist destinations, but after the Covid-19 pandemic and government regulations that do not allow associations such as PSBB and PPKM so that MSME in Kanekes Village have decreased in terms of sales and this has also reduced the income of the people in Kanekes Village. Purpose: 1) to find out the empowerment of MSME during the Covid-19 pandemic in Kanekes Village; 2) knowing the inhibiting factors for empowering MSME during the Covid-19 pandemic in Kanekes Village; 3) find out the efforts made in overcoming the obstacles to empowering MSME during the Covid-19 pandemic in Kanekes Village. Method: The design of this research is descriptive qualitative research. Data collection techniques were carried out by interviewing, observing and documenting and selecting informants through purposive sampling. The data analysis technique used is reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. This research was conducted at the Department of Cooperatives and Small, Medium and Small Enterprises of Lebak Regency. Result: The results of the study show that the empowerment of MSME in Kanekes Village during the Covid-19 pandemic has not been optimal because there are still obstacles in empowerment. Conclusion: the results of this study show that the empowerment of MSME in Kanekes Village has been carried out quite well but there are still some obstacles, such as budget constraints, the Covid-19 pandemic, and also lack of readiness to face digitalization.
