Abstract

Problem Statement/Background (GAP) on the low interest of visitors in using the padang.go.id website is the background of this research. Purpose this study is to analyze how the effectiveness of using the Padang.go.id website in fulfilling public information services for the community in the city of Padang is reviewed based on the quality of the system, the quality of information and the use of the website along with the inhibiting factors and the efforts made by the Diskominfo of the city of Padang. Method used is qualitative research with descriptive methods through an inductive approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Result the study reveal that the effectiveness of using the Padang.go.id website has not been effective, because there are still many indicators that have not been met, namely the quality of the reliability section system due to the transition of information from the website to social media, the completeness of the quality of information is still not effective due to human resources and facilities. Conclusion the use of the padang.go.id website in fulfilling public information services for the community in the city of Padang is still not effective. This is because there are still indicators that have not been met, namely: first, the dimensions of the quality of the information system on the reliability indicator due to the transition of information from the website to social media so that it cannot be relied upon as an information service; second, on the dimension of information quality, the completeness indicator is still not effective because of the lack of human resources and inadequate facilities and infrastructure at Diskominfo; and third, namely the usage dimension due to the lack of socialization to the public regarding the website so that many people still do not know about the existence of the web.
