Abstract
ABSTRACT Problem Statement/Background (GAP): The performance of the Medan City Health Office in the Implementation of the Covid 19 Vaccination in the City of Medan, North Sumatra Province is a study that started from the problems that occurred in the City of Medan in terms of the implementation of the Covid-19 vaccination, where public interest for vaccination was quite high but was not equipped with adequate vaccine stoks so that there was a Long queues at several health facilities, the implementation of mass vaccination then also triggers new problems, namely increasing community mobility to mass vaccination sites and also causing people to gather in places that should be avoided.Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the Performance of the Medan City Health Office in the Implementation of the Covid 19 Vaccination in Medan City, North Sumatra Province. Method: This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method with an inductive approach. Data collection techniques through interviews, observation, documentation and data triangulation. Result: The results of the study on the performance of the Medan City Health Office in the Implementation of Covid 19 Vaccination in Medan City, North Sumatra Province in general were quite good, although the realization of the target achievement for the elderly and children vaccination target was still below 70% and the vaccination time was still above 20 minutes. Conclusion: The researcher suggests that the government is expected to be more active in socializing and implementing door-to-door vaccination for the elderly, this will certainly help the elderly who have difficulty getting to the vaccination site. Online vaccination registration through the PeduliLindung application should be more socialized to the public. This is intended so that there are no crowds at the vaccination location and it is enough for the public to come at the vaccination hours that have been determined so that the vaccination time can be faster.
