Abstract
The author focuses on problems related to the low value of the ratio of regional independence in Sekadau Regency and the financial performance of local governments in managing regional finances. The purpose of this study was to examine how much influence the ratio of regional independence and regional spending partially and simultaneously had on the financial performance of the local government of Sekadau Regency. The research method used is descriptive quantitative with a causal design and explanatory research. In this study, calculations were carried out using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics to test the effect of variable X on variable Y, there are two X variables, namely X1 (regional independence ratio) and X2, namely regional expenditure with variable Y, namely the regional financial performance of Sekadau Regency. The population in this study is Sekadau Regency, West Kalimantan Province with a sample of the Budget Realization Report (LRA) in the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD) of Sekadau Regency for the last 7 years starting from 2015-2021 which was obtained through purposive sampling method. sampling. The results of the study state that: (a) Variable X1 has an effect of -0.059 on variable Y, with a non-unidirectional effect because the value of the Beta coefficient shows a minus sign, while the significance value is 0.511 (greater than 0.05) which means that there is no significant effect. significant, (b) Variable X2 has an effect of -0.907 on Variable Y, Beta coefficients show a minus value which means that the effect is not in line with the significance value of 0.000 (less than 0.05) meaning that there is a significant effect, (c ) Simultaneously the variables X1 and X2 affect the Y variable by 99.6%. Then it can be concluded that the X1 variable has no significant effect on the Y variable with an effect of -0.059 and a non-unidirectional effect, while the X2 variable has a significant effect on the Y variable of -0.907 with a non-unidirectional effect as well. However, simultaneously the variables X1 and X2 both have an influence on the Y variable, which is 99.6%. Keywords: independence; shopping; performance; finance
