Abstract

Problem Statement / Background (GAP): The author focuses on the problem of spreading information on COVID-19 in Bondowoso Regency which is carried out by the Bondowoso Regency Communication and Information Office through the Instagram account @kominfobondowoso. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of Instagram @kominfobondowoso in disseminating information on covid-19 in Bondowoso district. Method: The research used is a descriptive qualitative method with an inductive approach using O'Brien's information systems theory and data collection techniques in this study were carried out by observation, interviews/interviews and documentation. Result: In the process of this research, it shows that Instagram has not been effective in the process of disseminating information on COVID-19. Conclusion: The effectiveness of Instagram @kominfobondowoso in disseminating Covid-19 information in the Regency can be seen from several indicators, namely: Human Resources, hardware, software, data resources, communication networks. The effectiveness of Instagram @kominfobondowoso is considered not yet effective and there is a need for coordination with related parties. The Communication and Informatics Office does not just remain silent regarding the obstacles that occur because the Bondowoso Regency Communication and Information Office continues to coordinate so that the Health Office continues to update information regarding the development of Covid-19 in Bondowoso Regency.
