Abstract

ABSTRACT This research is entitled "QUALITY OF THE WEBSITE IN DELIVERING PUBLIC INFORMATION IN THE CITY OF GORONTALO (Study of the Website of the Department of Communication, Information and Encoding, City of Gorontalo)". This research started from the not yet maximal Informatics and Encoding Office of Gorontalo City in managing its website to be of high quality in conveying information to the public. In accordance with the mandate of Law Number 14 of 2008 which requires all information to be conveyed to the public in an open and transparent manner so that the public knows all information about regional developments or problems that occur in the environment where they live. This study uses Alvaro Rocha's website quality theory which has 3 (three) indicators, namely content quality, service quality and technical quality. This study uses a qualitative research design with descriptive methods and inductive approaches. Data collected through interview, observation and documentation techniques. The data analysis technique used consisted of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the quality of the Website of the Gorontalo City of Information Communication and Encryption Service in conveying public information was not good, especially from the content quality indicators which did not yet have complete information such as aspiration and complaint services, official legal products, single narratives related to the service's priority program policies. Gorontalo City Informatics and Encoding Communication as well as consistency and updating of information that has not been going well. For the quality of service and technical quality, it has gone quite well. The problems faced were resolved by recruiting qualified human resources and providing various information technology training programs. Keywords: Quality, Website, Information
