Abstract
Problems/Background (GAP): The effectiveness of employee performance is the result of work both in quality and quantity that has been achieved by employees in carrying out their duties in accordance with the responsibilities given by the organization. The effectiveness of employee performance assesses the performance of employees in the office whether it is good or not. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of performance during the Covid-19 pandemic at the Nias District Health Office. The research method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative method with an inductive approach. Data was collected by using interview, observation and documentation techniques. Data analysis techniques consist of data reduction, data presentation, conclusions and data verification. Results/Findings: The results of this study indicate that the performance of the Nias District Health Office employees during the Covid-19 pandemic has not been effective. This is because some employees carry out work from home which results in some of the work both in the office and while on duty in the field not going well. Employees who carry out work from home do not all have the facilities to support work such as laptops because of the limitations of laptops belonging to the office. The existence of restrictions on employees in the office resulted in decreased employee performance and the employee became lazy in doing work. To overcome this problem, the Head of the Nias District Health Office carried out monitoring to ensure whether the employee was doing his job well or not.
