Abstract
Problem Statement/Background (GAP): In the midst of the widespread use of information technology for administrative management, it turns out that the use of the Electronic Office Administration Information System (SiMPEL) application at the Communication and Information Office of West Pasaman Regency has not run optimally. Because the level of use is still very low, even the SiMPEL application has begun to be abandoned and correspondence activities return to the old habit of using paper, this is due to the lack of socialization carried out to users regarding the operation of the SiMPEL application which results in many employees who do not understand the use of the SiMPEL application. . This study aims to determine the cause of the low level of application usage and how to increase the attractiveness of its use. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to find out the cause of the very low use of the SiMPEL application and to find out, understand and analyze in increasing the attractiveness of using the SiMPEL application for the Communication and Informatics Office of West Pasaman Regency. Methods: This research is a qualitative research with an inductive approach that uses data collection such as interviews, observations and documentation carried out in the field, analysis by summarizing, presenting data and drawing conclusions. Results: The results of the study indicate that the cause of the low interest in using the application is because the user's perception of the SiMPEL application is difficult to use (Perceived Easy Of use) so that the user feels that it is not easy and requires more effort in its use and the assumption that the application makes the employee's job easier long. Conclusion: Needs and improvements to the SiMPEL application in increasing interest in using SiMPEL at the Communication and Information Office of West Pasaman Regency, conducting socialization on the Electronic Office Administration Information System Application (SiMPEL), socializing the laws and regulations regarding the implementation of the Electronic Office Administration System Application and conducting regional cooperation with companies internet services for the provision of a good and stable internet network.
