Abstract

ABSTRACT Problem Statement/Background (GAP): (Contains the background behind the research). The This online service is implemented to provide convenience as well as one way to prevent the spread of COVID-19. In terms of optimizing online services through social media, there are several problems, such as the lack of staff, especially the operator, many people still do not use gadgets, and the condition of people who still have limitations in accessing online services through social media because the network is not yet available in the area. Certain. .Purpose: to obtain data and information as well as analyze the steps and efforts made by the Majene Regency Population and Civil Registration Service regarding optimizing online services through social media to meet the COVID-19 health protocol. Methode: This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods with an inductive approach, where the authors obtain data by means of interviews, observation and documentation Result shows that human resources and infrastructure conditions as well as field conditions significantly positively affect the optimization of online services through social media. Conclusion: The process of optimizing online services through social media has not been optimal. Obstacles experienced in the process of optimizing online services through social media. The obstacles experienced include the lack of operators owned by the Population and Civil Registration Office, many people still do not use their gadgets or smartphones, and the network is not yet available in all areas of Majene Regency.
